The very mention of Indonesia sends most people's mind straight to Bali. Rightfully so, Bali has a little bit of everything, from beaches to rice fields, and volcanos to temples. Family travel in Indonesia doesn't need to consist only of Bali though, there's so much more that this diverse archipelago has to offer.

Although we did visit Bali on our first trip to Indonesia, we were also lucky enough to travel to the Far East of Indonesia to visit the up and coming destination of Raja Ampat. I wish we could've spent more time exploring West Papua, but our schedule didn't allow it. My Indonesia bucket list is now a mile long!!
