Always keeping Randy on his toes 😂 I said, “Do yo Always keeping Randy on his toes 😂 I said, “Do you want to meander to dinner?” He said, “sure”. So, off we went, through the mountains on some unexpectedly steep and crazy gravel roads (the videos never do it justice!). We found an abandoned village, vineyards, and a weird building made out what looked like a large culvert! It took us 1.5 hrs to go 18km, the perfect afternoon! Who would’ve thought we’d find this in Cyprus?! #overland #overlandlife #overlandinglife #overlandkitted #overlandfamily

We spent most of our time in Cyprus away from the We spent most of our time in Cyprus away from the beach and in the mountains. This is where the real Cyprus is found. The villages in the Troodoos mountains are a world away from the beaches and holiday makers. They’re old, sometimes crumbling, sometimes lovingly resorted, full of character and where Cypriot culture is still quietly, stubbornly intact. The kind of places where old men sit outside kafeneions and nobody is in a hurry. The coast is beautiful. There’s no denying it. But my happy place is and always will be the mountains ⛰️ And the real Cyprus — the one with the culture still intact, the villages still lived in, the churches still breathing, the mountains still wild — that one is in the mountains.
