Did you think this would be the most expensive cou Did you think this would be the most expensive country? I was surprised! We’ve been driving the West Coast of Africa for 31 days. 🚙 Total km: 5,335 km (172 km a day, we’ve slowed down a bit lately!!) 🛂 Longest border: 22 hours at one border. Morocco → Mauritania 🏜️ Stuck in the sand: 3 times ❄️ Fixed the AC: 2 times (it might be finally working now!!) ⛽ 651 litres of fuel, $1,593 CAD, a third of our entire budget. That’s ~$51/day in fuel!! 💸 Avg $157 CAD a day for the four of us ($4881 total) 📍 Most expensive country: Senegal. Cheapest: The Gambia 🏕️ Nights in Gimli: Randy and me 31, Calais 29, Kacela 28. The girls took a guesthouse room while we stayed in the garden 😄 🛂 Total $ on Visas: $351 (Mauritania) 143 days to go.
